I’ve long been a fan of the online marketplace Etsy. Chances are that you are too, but I swear the range of handmade and vintage goods available is just getting better and better. If you haven’t checked Etsy out recently, I think you should – it’s a gigantic wonder world of treasures. I thought this week was a good chance to share a little round up of three makers I’m loving lately:
Sarah Murray Ceramics
Sarah made the stoneware mug and bowl you see above. The level of detail and contemporary colours used in her handmade work is really beautiful. My photo might not do the pieces justice, but her ceramics made in her home studio on NSW far south coast really are a lovely thing to hold, more like a little piece of art.
A Melbourne based business that crafts fine linen bedding and napery. The products are thoughtfully designed and carefully hand made. Soft and luxurious to touch, I’m loving using the inky blue linen tea towel in the kitchen (it goes so well with my grey cabinets).
There is something really special about using a handmade everyday item. I adore the range of organic clay bowls and plates made by Susan, a talented Gold Coast artist. Pictured above is a speckled blue plate that is a completely unique one-off. I love that!
PS. In checking out Etsy today, I discovered this adorable range of kids dress ups. Now all I want to do is dress Raff up in a a cape and little super hero wrist bands! Can’t handle the cute!
