MY bathroom cabinet

21.03.16

I certainly love a beauty product, and am a little ashamed by the excess number of bottles and tubes that are spilling out of my bathroom cabinet at the moment. It’s safe to say I only use a quarter of the products, so I really need to do a cull. In the mean time, I thought I’d share my absolute favourite ‘go-to’ lotions and potions over the past month for myself and Rafferty while we’ve been resting up at home, slowly introducing my sweet baby to the big world.

Mac Lip Conditioner contains Almond Oil, Shea Butter and Avocado Extract and has a lovely shine to it too. I’ve been using it for years to keep my lips moisturised and smooth, I highly recommend it.

Chi Khi bare Wonder Cream is seriously wonderful. Buttery and thick, I’ve been using it on irritated red spots on the baby’s little body and face. It’s also apparently great for skin conditions including eczema and dermatitis. I love that it’s free from all the nasties too.

L’occitane Shea Butter Hand Cream is a product I used religiously a few years ago, and I’d forgotten how truly good it was. A lovely friend gifted me with a tube recently and I can’t get enough of it  (I really dislike more than having dry hands).

Weleda Calendula Shampoo and Body Wash is close to my heart as it’s what I used when bathing Sunday in the early months too. The wash smells delicious and is so gentle and creamy for baby’s delicate and innocent skin.

La Clinica Organic For Baby Massage Oil has been wonderful for giving Rafferty little body massages after his daily bath. He’s partial to a leg and tummy rub, and this is a nurturing and natural massage oil containing a soothing blend of Rose Geranium, Lavender and Ylang Ylang essential oils.

Yves Saint Laurent Radiant Touch was given to me as a birthday gift in February just in the nick of time. Sleepless nights with baby are hidden (to a degree) with a quick swipe under the eyes with this wonderful concealer.

The Jojoba Company Natural Pigmentation Oil is a new product added to my arsenal for the annoying pigmentation that appeared on my face during pregnancy. It’s too early to tell you if it actually works for the darkened sun spots but I LOVE the texture of this oil at night after I’ve cleansed my face.

Trilogy Everything Balm is a totally organic balm for super dry skin. I’ve been using on my cuticles and lips, and think it will be a handy edition to my handbag over Winter.

Chi Khi Bare Natural Nappy Balm is another all natural favourite that I’ve been using lightly on Rafferty’s bottom after every nappy change. It’s prevented any redness and I love that the cream glides on easily with no stickiness.
